Reunited with a Lost Ring in Lousville

Rent a metal detector in Louisville

Kim Reunited with her Lost Wedding Ring

As luck would have it, I stopped by Craigslist.com last night and did a search for “metal detector”.  I’ve been keeping my eyes open for a deal on a new search coil for my Garrett AT Pro.  What I found in the search results was an ad looking for someone with a metal detector to help find a lost wedding ring.

I called the number listed, and within the hour I was able to reunite Kim with her very nice white gold wedding band that was filled with lined with diamonds.  Needless to say, she was very happy.

This was the first time that I had offered my services to assist in finding lost jewelry, and I am glad that it was a success.  I have considered TheRingFinders.com directory, because they have no members covering the Louisville, Kentucky area.  They offer a great directory service that puts those who have lost jewelry in touch with metal detector specialists.  Most metal detectorists on this directory will typically charge a $20.00 – $25.00 call out fee to cover fuel expenses and time whether the item is found or not.  If the item is found, any additional reward is appreciated.

Kim had taken her rings off to put sunscreen on her kids, and had placed them in her sandals.  Unfortunately, her daughter had picked up her sandals, spun around, and the rings disappeared into the grass.  Kim did the right thing by noting the general area where the ring was lost.  This narrowed the search area and made my recovery much easier.

My Garrett AT Pro metal detector was able to identify the location of this ring, even though there were other metal object being detected within the soil.  I have found several pieces of jewelry with my AT Pro, but this was ring number two.

If you are in the Louisville, Kentucky area and have lost a ring, piece of jewelry, or other metal object that you need assistance in locating, feel free to use the contact form to reach me.  Make sure you make note of the general area were you believe the item was lost.  If the item was lost on property that you do not own, make sure that you have permission from the owner in writing for me to search on their property.
